THE GENERATIONS (3).png

In generation 14, we meet Bristol. A headstrong, fierce, and unforgettable presence. She could stop a room, and only look forward. From the moment she was in high school, she knew she wanted to become a CEO and nothing could stand in her way. A straight A student, captain of the cheerleading team and valedictorian, she was able to graduate high school early and go on an overseas trip with her aunt in Tartosa while making money as an influencer. Once she entered college, she majored in economics with her sights set on running a pharmaceutical company since her older brother was the top surgeon in the city. While in college, she roomed with the sweet, bubbly, but a little bit ditzy Courtnie and the two became inseparable. After college, Bristol got her wish, and became a CEO of a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. She hired the incredible Charlotte Boucharde as her Vice President, the handsome and smart Edward Callahan as her CFO, and was able to spend millions on renovating a brand new penthouse by the world renowned interior designer Enya Westwood. Bristol was on top of the world. She had a close-knit group of wonderful girlfriends, a loving boyfriend in Edward, and more money than she knew what to do with. Lavish vacations, parties, private beach locations with her closest friends. What more could she ask for?

After years of this lifestyle, one afternoon Bristol got the shock of her life as a drove of policeman walked into her company. She didn’t know what to do, what to think, this had to be a mistake. While sitting at his desk, Edward saw the officers headed down the hallway towards him and he was able to slip out the side of his door to find Bristol. He couldn’t hide from it now. Edward barged into Bristol’s office and to her shock and horror, he told her of how for many years, he’s been stealing money from the company to fuel his gambling addiction. Investors had pulled out, and he was trading money back and forth between them to try and hold it together, but ultimately, it had come to an end. Bristol’s entire life came crashing down on her as the police took Edward away in handcuffs and sat her down and told her that her company was completely bankrupt. In order to pay off even a remote amount of the debt, she had to sell, everything. The police came and took her belongings and everything within her penthouse and she was left with only a few clothes and some expensive jewelry to her name.

After the devastation of what had come, she needed to get away. Make a fresh start and leave her old life behind. With the help of her friends and family, she was able to get a small house in Chestnut Ridge, although too proud, she never wanted anyone’s help and vowed to one day be self-sufficient. Over time, she began to rebuild herself, and one day went into a little jewelry shop where she had to sell the last of her diamonds to pay off some of her bills, and started talking to the shop owner named Dyani. Dyani was so warm, and treated Bristol with the most kindness she’d ever experienced from a stranger. The two hit it off right away, and Bristol told Dyani all about her past, and why she came to Chestnut. Dyani had a broken past as well, and was in an abusive relationship for most of her life, until a few years before she owned the shop she was able to run far away from him with the help of her cousin. She, like Bristol, only had a few clothes and some jewelry to her name. Bristol was so inspired by Dyani’s story, and loved knowing that she wasn’t alone. She noticed that next the jewelry shop, was an empty space and that gave Bristol a great idea.

Bristol was able to open the candle shop WIX right next to Dyani’s jewelry shop and got back on her feet with a new found love for the world around her. One day, while with Dyani, she saw a very soft spoken, yet strong man walk into the shop. His kind eyes drew her in as she watched him make his way over to them. Dyani introduced Bristol to Chayton, her cousin who helped rescue her from her past abusive relationship. As he took her hand, she felt something electric within his gaze, and could tell he felt it too.

The two spent days, weeks, months, years together and knew that their hearts were made for each other. Chayton’s strong yet kind heart learned to break Bristol’s wild and selfish spirit as he made her realize there was more to life than what she had thought. After years together, Chayton proposed to Bristol and she gladly accepted, leaping into his arms as he crowed up to the sky with glee. While together, they set up a foundation under Bristol’s first investor’s name the Emmett Vigil foundation where they would raise funds to rehabilitate horses. Emmett was kind enough to leave Bristol a small fortune when he learned he was dying, and she was able to use the money for the foundation along with her beautiful candle shop. All while having Emmett’s picture lovingly placed inside. After more months of incredible love, the two had a traditional Native American wedding where Chay gifted Bristol a horse, and he and Dyani danced together showing their family history for the next generation to come. Bristol and Chayton then moved to a beautiful large mountain cabin in Chestnut Ridge where they took long rides on their horses together, sang folk songs, and raised four beautiful children. Three sons they lovingly named Atlin, Elsu and Noapeh, and then finally a surprise daughter our generation 15 heir, Shiloh Ford.
